Save money and time with laser hair removal

Laser hair removal has several benefits – less pain, faster session. Body hair removal takes time, and for many men and women time is extremely valuable.

However, what most people don’t realize is that laser hair removal also saves money long term. When you add up the cost of razors, shaving cream or waxing sessions, permanent laser hair removal will pay for itself many times over!

Average Time Waxing
Waxing can take anywhere between an hour to 15 minutes, depending on the area. Waxing should also be done monthly for best results. Full arms, legs and bikini area would take about an hour. So we are looking at 12 hours per year. Lets assume a lifetime of 50 years.
Total: 12 hours / year or 600 hours over a lifetime

Average Time Getting Laser Hair Reduction
A laser hair removal regiment requires between 6 to 8 sessions every 4 weeks. Followed by maintenance sessions once every three months and less and less frequently as time goes by. In addition, the maintenance sessions usually take on average 30 minutes.
Full arms, legs and bikini would take about an hour as well.
8 hours (initial) + 100 hours of maintenance / 108 hours over a lifetime

Average cost of Waxing
Waxing, while being more expensive than shaving is preferred by many because it lasts longer, doesn’t leave bumps or stubble and is better on the skin. Lets assume $25 for underarm, $85 for full leg and $75 for Brazilian wax. This adds up to $185 / month.
Total: $2220 per year / $111,000 over a lifetime

Average cost of Laser hair removal
The average cost is about for laser hair removal under arm, brazilian and full leg is $525 per session, with approximately 6-8 sessions required to achieve the desired permanent hair reduction. A maintenance session is about $60.
$3675 initial + maintenance $4,000 – $11,000 over a lifetime

Having compared the time and money over your lifetime, laser hair removal is clearly a better deal. Not only do you get rid of unwanted hair faster, but also with more comfort and better results! Schedule an appointment at our Boston Back Bay office!

Brazilian laser hair removal – what to expect

We get a lot of questions about our Laser Brazilian Hair removal. Here is what you can expect:

Before and during your first visit

During your first laser hair removal sessions you will be asked to provide details to help us including skin color, hair color, and other information that will allow us to tune the laser machine to your body.
Please do not shave before your first visit so we can see the typical amount and the color of hair you have.

What the Laser feels like during treatment

The sensation during laser hair removal session tends to feel like touching a warm cup of tea.
There is definitely less discomfort compared to a Brazilian bikini wax treatment.
If you had laser hair removal treatments in other areas, you can expect the same sensation in the pubic region as well.

What if feels like after the treatment

For the first few hours you may notice redness or swelling in the region where laser hair removal was performed. This will go away quickly. During the follow up sessions you should feel less discomfort, being more used to the laser and the hair thinning out.

For men

Since we perform Brazilian laser hair removal on men as well, the experience should be the same.

To make your Brazilian laser hair removal treatment more comfortable, here are a few things to try:

  • Ensure the entire area is shaved withing 12 hours of your appointment.
  • Make the laser appointment 10 days before or after your period.
  • Avoid plucking or waxing the hairs for the duration of your laser hair removal regiment.
  • Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks before and after your laser treatment.

Sweat less with Laser hair removal

LASER hair removal can help you reduce sweating and overheating during intense workouts.

People usually sweat in similar locations: underams, chest, back and face. Removing hair in these areas can significantly reduce the amount of sweat because hair acts as a barrier and prevents heat from being released.

Our state of the art LASER system makes hair removal virtually painless and every effective.

Less Irritation

Sweaty body hair causes irritation. By having smooth and hair free skin, there will be less irritation and chafing. This is especially true for under arm, chest and legs after a long workout such as spinning. Complete hair removal will prevent this and increase post-work out comfort.

Another benefit of LASER hair removal is softer hairless skin that can last a lifetime.

Everbare uses state of the LASERs to offer the best experience in the Back Bay area of Boston. Book an appointment online or call us at 617.431.6697.

Waxing in the fall

Most people are probably thinking the summer is over so now I don’t have to shave everyday so why would I wax? Fall is actually the perfect time to start or continue waxing! A lot of clients’ biggest challenge when starting a waxing regiment is having to grow out their hair to 1/4 inch. This can be difficult to do in the summertime with nice weather and spontaneous weekend trips. Thus fall is a great time to start waxing.
Hair grows in 3 different hair cycles. It takes about six months of consistent waxing every 3-5 weeks (depending of the person) to get all three of your hair growth cycles on the same pattern. When you first start waxing the hair growth cycles are not yet in sync and your waxes will last approximately 2-3 weeks before the hair starts growing back. After waxing regularly for about six months, with no shaving in between, the waxes should last for 4 to 6 weeks.
Following our recommended schedule you will be much happier and the treatment as close to painless as possible.
Now that you’re all smooth and wanting to enjoy it, there are just a few things to keep in mind. Your skin is sensitive and needs protection, especially for a day or two after your waxing service.
